As others have said (should have read this sooner!) the socks are not worth the money. Long shipping time despite being expensive and they have developed holes after just a couple of months.
Edit: after submitting a complaint to the website I received a very prompt refund for the faulty goods. Excellent customer service.

The socks look nice, and fit well enough when they're on, but they're very inelastic so putting them on is hard work. And give the high price, and that the socks are thick, you'd think they would last well. But multiple pairs had big holes in after a couple of months. For the first they refunded me the cost of that pair of socks, after that they just offered me 20% off the next order, but why would I buy more, when they don't last?

I am really pleased with my socks.
I was a bit worried that I'd been suckered in by adverts on FB but actually they are really great.
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews, did I just get lucky?!
I was concerned being a size 4 that the medium (the smallest option available) would be to big but they are fine & I imagine with quite a bit of stretch in then, that they'd do quite a wide size range.

Avoid like the plague. Socks poor quality, thin, plasticcy, buy similar on ebay for a quarter of the price. 'Mountain' socks promoted as 25% more material than their regular socks - except they are in reality exactly the same, same weight - it's a mis-selling scam. Once they've got you I wouldn't bother complaining, they string you along for amusement, even asking for a photo of the same weight socks - fantastic, you've got to give it to them. If you return (to E Germany) you fill in Brexit forms and pay costly postage and according to other reviews here won't get a refund anyway. They do offer 30% voucher off your next pair - Ha Ha, another example of their humour.
All the many & wonderful reviews on their website are obviously fictitious, and you can see they spend a lot of time deleting terrible customer comments from Facebook (ie 30 comments made, but only 5 appear??!!) & Instagram.
I have donated my socks to the dustbin. An elaborate scam, I feel sorry for the people behind it and those who work for them.

These socks, even in their recommended 'Large' size, are unsuitable for men with feet UK size 9 and above. The material and machine knitting style of these socks means that they have relatively low stretch. I cannot comment on their comfort or durability as I was unable to wear them. Please be aware that the company has a poor return/refund process. If the socks you recive are unsuitable, they wlll offer you a 30% voucher for a future purchase. If you wish to have a refund you will be responsible for the shipment cost of returning your socks to Germany.

Bought 3 sets of socks, 15 pairs.
Found holes in 3 pairs the first time I wore them, so far won’t replace them and offer a 20% discount for a future order.
Product is poor quality with a premium price, try another producer.

How I wish I'd looked at Trustpilot before ordering. Sock order arrived after a bit of a wait. One pack (Magnus herringbone pattern) was OK size wise but the Ida and Bjorn patterned sets are weird. Tight legs and also tight sections in the knit of the foot. Bands of tightness where certain patterns are. Not comfortable at all and the socks feel really synthetic. I know they are a blend of materials but they just feel cheap. Customer services are downright obstructive when you request a return and eventually offer you a tiny discount not to return and advise you to donate the socks somewhere. That's at your own expense of course. Be aware, despite (purporting to) being a UK website you are expected to return to a GERMAN address, again, at your expense. There is no information on this on their website or there certainly wasn't when I ordered. Disingenous company and cheap socks. What's to like?

Nice socks, but they’re sized too small. If you are size 9 take a size 12.

I ordered before reading the reviews but when I did read them, I was expecting a poor quality product. I waited a while before writing my review to see how they held up being washed.
I have to say that I am really pleased with my socks. They look nice and have washed without any shrinkage. They don't have much stretch because of the materials used but they fit me without being tight and I am a 5ft 8in European of average proportions. They are warm and comfortable under boots. Overall I am very happy and would buy again.

Awful company and it’s not in the UK as the website says and I can only guess that they are so busy as so many people aren’t happy...
They Take your money, claim they process orders immediately but don’t send out the goods for up to 26dats.... Claim the order will only get tracking when order gets to home country ..umm you pay for tracking but don’t get it...
Quite simply these guys win the award for worst service..Would love to comment on socks, but sadly they still haven’t arrived..!

Avoid Nordic Socks, I only wish I had read these reviews first. The website failed when I ordered so ended up with duplicate orders. Canceled one but no refund. The other order has failed to turn up. Customer service awful. Avoid at all costs.

I Wish i had read the reviews before being sucked in by the nice website.
The socks are very thin and you would struggle to keep your feet warm in summer let alone winter, you would could get better quality off a market stool.
i have yet to wash them and can feel the disappointment now.
